Recently, I have been thinking about ways we as artists could support each other on Instagram. I decided it might be helpful to start an Artist’s support group where artists can share their latest Instagram post within the group with the idea that other artists would be able to easily access and engage with Instagram accounts within the group that they like. To start this support group, I created a Pinterest group board which would allow artists to pin their latest Instagram post and other artists could follow, like, share, and/or comment on Instagram posts that they like. I know that most artists are seeing a decrease in engagement on Instagram so I am hoping the extra engagement on posts from the group board will help artists be seen by more people.

If you would like to contribute to the board, I have included a link to the Pinterest board which you should be able to request an invite there. You can also send me a message on Pinterest and I can invite you. All I ask when you join the group is that you give out as much as you put in. For example, when you pin your recent Instagram post try to engage with at least 1 other person’s Instagram post in the group by liking, commenting, or sharing the post or following the person.

My hope is to make this group board a supportive environment for artists while also making it easier for artists to discover new smaller artists who are hard to find on Instagram.
