You know when you take a break from something for so long, you don’t know how to start it back up again. Well, it’s been a while since my last post and my blog has stayed stagnant for 7 months. In that time, I have been the busiest I’ve ever been and I thought I would share with you some of the highlights.

  • I finished my second to last semester in grad school which means I worked 20 hours a week for free on top of going to school at night.
  • I got an iPad for my birthday and started using Procreate.
  • I also tried Adobe Draw and Affinity Designer.
  • In the last few months, my Creative Market shop has seen an increase in sales. I even sold my first extended licenses (more on that in my next post).

So what does that mean for my future posts? I haven’t really used Adobe Illustrator for a while now as I mostly use iPad software so most of my posts will focus on the design software that you can get on your iPad. I really want to try Astropad in the future to turn my iPad into a tablet that can be used with Adobe Illustrator so if any of you have ever used Astropad let me know how you liked it. I am hoping that this will be a cheaper alternative to buying a tablet with a screen and many months in the future I will write a review of the software. Also, I am going to be working even harder during school this semester so I decided to post 1 blog post on the first of every month while I finish my last semester of grad school. I have already decided on the next two blog posts so check back October 1st for an update on my creative market shop including a comprehensive list of my sales and how much I have made from my shop since my last blog post. On November 1st I will compare and contrast 3 iPad design softwares including Procreate, Adobe Illustrator Draw, and Affinity Designer. This blog post is meant to benefit my readers on their design journey so if there is something you specifically want to see in the posts, let me know in the comments. This blog has been a lot of fun to create and share ideas over the years and no matter where the blog ends up, I look forward to taking you along for the ride.
